A cornerstone of our school community is parental involvement, which is one of the things that make SEAS so special. Each family is required to contribute 50 hours of service (25 fo
r a single parent household) each school year in support of our school community. Children are more successful in school when parents play an active role in their education.
Parents and grandparents can be seen helping around campus, serving hot lunch, monitoring recess, restacking books in the library, helping students prepare for their Sacraments, and helping teachers prepare for classroom activities. PARENT SERVICE HOURS
New Service Hours Tracking - SEAS will now be using a new platform for logging our family service hours and jobs - MobileServe.
Service Hours Reminders & Tips for parents:
- The supervisor email is required and must be sent to a school email address. Eg:[email protected]
- Log the hours as soon as possible to better help the supervisor remember your attendance/help
- For every $15 spent, you receive 1 service hour
- Please include a picture of your receipt for your purchases
- Donations of used items are not approved for service hours

As part of our ongoing mission to ensure the safety of children at all times, all SEAS staff and volunteers must go through background checks and training to be in full compliance with the Diocese of Tucson (DOT) Safe Environment Program before they are able to serve. The process can take between 30-60 days. There are three parts to the compliance process:- Applicant Tracking and Screening. The Application must be reviewed and processed within six (6) months of the submission date. A new application is required to be submitted if the original application was not processed timely.
- Safe Environment Training. When the Application is completed an invitation email will be sent to the applicant by the Diocese of Tucson to register and complete the CMG 3-in1 System. The applicant has seven (7) days to complete the process in CMG this training is good for three (3) years.
- Criminal History, Background Checks, and Fingerprints. All employees and volunteers must complete a criminal history check, background check (Credit, MVR, etc.), and fingerprint card before starting employment or volunteer service.
HOW TO APPLY ONLINE:
1. Go to SEAS School Volunteer page2. Confirm that it reads:Position: VolunteerLocation: St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School (PK-8) – Tucson, AZ3. Click "Apply for this Position".
Please complete the fields with a red asterisk (*). The option to submit resume is included below but is not required when applying for a volunteer position. It’s important to note that the Diocese does not permit family members as references.4. Click Submit.
This process takes from 20 to 30 days, or fewer days, depending on the references and how promptly the employee or volunteer follows up on the requirements.
Since parishes, independent schools, and other Catholic entities are separately incorporated and for liability purposes, a new application is required for each corporation.
