I graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelors in Elementary Education. (GO Wildcats!) Additionally, I became a reading specialist and hold my reading endorsement from the State of Arizona and have extensive university and elementary teaching experience. I also have a masters in Early Childhood development from Northern Arizona University.
I've been part of the Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Community for five years. I am a firm believer in literacy-based education. It is my goal to immerse students in reading and writing to such an extent that, by the time they leave our classroom, they will view themselves as “real” readers and authors. Students will be reading and writing in all subject areas on a regular basis. My teaching is thematic, as such; all content areas will be intermingled throughout each day. I want your children to understand how our daily lives are integrated rather than compartmentalized.
